Settling In

As of this morning, Kevin and I have been trying to move things around in the hopes of improving the current state of things.

Kevin set up the TV first, naturally. The cats are also getting pretty settled in and are building a fort under my bed.

My TV will move into my bedroom so I can watch TV while sleeping.

In my room, I've replaced my long table with Kevin's dresser, within which we will now use to store linens and towels. My long table now lives in the foyer and we can put stuff on it!

A not at all embarrassing picture of my room.

Frank the cat, who bravely withstood a comfortable evening at home.

Moving Day

This morning, Kevin and I embarked on a move. Kevin is moving from his apartment in Belltown to my apartment on the Waterfront. This is what my living room looked like this morning before we got started.

We had been amassing things throughout the week in small portions. Here is Kevin's desk (in pieces).

Kevin was super excited about moving day. Here is is pictured with actual energy.

Moving the couch was the trickiest part of the day. See here my grandfather's luxury SUV with Kevin's large couch.
It worked out OK because we didn't have to go up any hills.

Moving the cats was the trickiest part because they were confused and upset.

Hooray! We are celebrating this grande mess by eating pizza and playing board games.

Eventually we got all humans, furniture, and cats moved into the condo.
Here's Frank, who was scared of the apartment until recently.

Now the boys are playing Cosmic Encounters and the cats are getting everywhere we don't want them to (spray guns are at the ready).

Thanksgiving 2011

We spent this past Thanksgiving at Megan and Glenn's apartment with Bellevue. The food was amazing, and the company was excellent.

How we felt...

How we looked...

I made a pie following the directions on the back of the chocolate chip bag. It didn't work out.

The cats were there, too. Yogurt (seen here) and Hermes the three-legged cat hopped around behind.

Megan is my very best friend. We met in Japan and now she and her fiance are the only people I would consider my "couple friends."
