I cooked a turkey for the first time in my life during Christmas and had the moderate intelligence to let the carcass and meats simmer for a time in some water, thus creating turkey stock. That turkey stock sat for awhile in my fridge, slowly congealing into a delicious fatty meat jell-O. I decided it was the time for action, and found a recipe for butternut squash soup, which I have never made before.
It was quite inexpensive to buy all of the ingredients since I already had the stock, and it turned out OK. Mostly it tastes like turkey.
